The Carbonate Opportunity. An Emerging Giant Resource Play.

With 9 billion barrels of oil in place, Osum is now the third biggest resource holder in the carbonates after Shell and Husky.

Several operators have recently filed pilots exploring various bitumen recovery methods in the carbonates, including:

• cold solvent
• CSS 
• SAGD, and
• electrical heating

Osum expects an application will be filed for large-scale commercial development at one of its Saleski projects shortly after receipt of its first pilot results, expected in 2010.
