Osum brings award-winning explorer, author and scientist to Bonnyville and Cold Lake high schools

In keeping with our commitment to supporting and building the next generation of scientists and leaders, Osum was pleased to bring Julie Angus to speak with Bonnyville and Cold Lake high school students on September 30th and October 1st. Named as one of North America’s leading adventurers by Explore magazine and one of Canada’s Greatest Women Explorers by Canadian Geographic, Julie is an accomplished cyclist and rower with many stories to tell.

Speaking to 1,200 Bonnyville and Cold Lake high school students over two days, Julie shared stories of her travels and the lessons she’s learned along the way.

Julie is a shining example of what it takes to reach goals and overcome challenges. Osum hopes her journey and drive inspires students to face challenges head-on, be curious about the world around them and turn every adventure into an education.
